22 おも なる かみ は いわ れ た 、 「 みよ 、 ひと は われわれ の ひとり の よう に なり 、 ぜんあく を しる ものと なっ た 。 かれ は て を のべ 、 いのち の き から も とっ て たべ 、 えいきゅう に いきる かも しれ ない 」 。
23 そこ で おも なる かみ は かれ を えでん の えん から おいだし て 、 ひと が つくら れ た その ど を たがやさ せ られ た 。
24 かみ は ひと を おいだし 、 えでん の えん の ひがし に 、 けるびむ と 、 まわる ほのお の つる ぎと を おい て 、 いのち の き の みち を まもら せ られ た 。
2 じょ は へび に いっ た 、 「 わたし たち は えん の このみ を たべる こと は ゆるさ れ て い ます が 、
3 ただ えん の ちゅうおう に ある このみ について は 、 これ を とっ て たべる な 、 これ に ふれる な 、 しん で は いけ ない から と 、 かみ は いわ れ まし た 」 。
4 へび は おんな に いっ た 、 「 あなた がた は けっして しぬ こと は ない でしょ う 。
5 それ を たべる と 、 あなた がた の め が あけ 、 かみ の よう に ぜんあく を しる もの と なる こと を 、 かみ は しっ て おら れる の です 」 。
6 じょ が その き を みる と 、 それ は たべる に よく 、 め に は うつくしく 、 かしこく なる に は このましい とおもわ れ た から 、 その み を とっ て たべ 、 また ともに い た おっと に も あたえ た ので 、 かれ も たべ た 。
7 する と 、 ふたり の め が あけ 、 じぶん たち の はだか で ある こと が わかっ た ので 、 いちじく の は を つづり あわせ て 、 こし に まい た 。
8 かれら は 、 にち の すずしい かぜ の ふく ころ 、 えん の なか に おも なる かみ の あゆま れる おと を きい た。 そこで 、 ひと と その つま と は おも なる かみ の かお を さけ て 、 えん の このま に み を かくし た 。
9 おも なる かみ は ひと に よびかけ て いわ れ た 、 「 あなた は どこ に いる の か 」 。
10 かれ は こたえ た 、 「 えん の なか で あなた の あゆま れる おと を きき 、 わたし は はだか だっ た ので 、 おそれ て み を かくし た の です 」 。
11 かみ は いわ れ た 、 「 あなた が はだか で ある の を 、 だれ が しらせ た の か 。 たべる な と 、 めいじ て おい た き から 、 あなた は とっ て たべ た の か 」 。
12 にん は こたえ た 、 「 わたし と いっしょ に し て くださっ た あの おんな が 、 き から とっ て くれ た ので 、 わたし は たべ た の です 」 。
13 そこ で おも なる かみ は おんな に いわ れ た 、 「 あなた は 、 なんと いう こと を し た の です 」 。おんな は こたえ た 、 「 へび が わたし を だまし た の です 。 それで わたし は たべ まし た 」 。
14 おも なる かみ は へび に いわ れ た 、 /「 おまえ は 、 この こと を 、 し た ので 、 / すべて の かちく 、の の すべて の しし の うち 、 / もっとも のろわ れる 。 おまえ は はら で 、 はい あるき 、 / いっしょう 、 ちりを たべる で あろ う 。
15 わたし は うらみ を おく 、 / おまえ と おんな と の あいだ に 、 / おまえ の すえ と おんな の すえ と の まに 。 かれ は おまえ の かしら を くだき 、 / おまえ は かれ の かかと を くだく で あろ う 」 。
16 つぎ に おんな に いわ れ た 、 /「 わたし は あなた の うみ の くるしみ を おおいに ます 。 あなた は くるしんで こ を うむ 。 それでも なお 、 あなた は おっと を したい 、 / かれ は あなた を おさめる で あろ う 」 。
17 さら に ひと に いわ れ た 、 「 あなた が つま の ことば を きい て 、 たべる な と 、 わたし が めいじ た きから とっ て たべ た ので 、 / ち は あなた の ため に のろわ れ 、 / あなた は いっしょう 、 くるしん で ち からしょくもつ を とる 。
18 ち は あなた の ため に 、 いばら と あざみ と を しょうじ 、 / あなた は の の くさ を たべる で あろ う 。
19 あなた は かお に あせ し て ぱん を たべ 、 ついに ど に かえる 、 / あなた は ど から とら れ た の だ から 。 あなた は 、 ちり だ から 、 ちり に かえる 」 。
20 さて 、 ひと は その つま の な を えば と なづけ た 。 かのじょ が すべて いき た もの の はは だ から で ある 。
21 おも なる かみ は ひと と その つま と の ため に かわ の きもの を つくっ て 、 かれら に きせ られ た 。
